Trip Overholt

Trip Overholt has been contributing to Chatham county for many years. He is passionate about sustainable living. Through the years he has opened the first Green store in North Carolina, moved 40 homes in the path of development, built the first straw bale house and first natural swimming pool in North Carolina, built a resilient homestead with solar gardens and various resiliency features. For three years he co-hosted a radio show on WCOM called “Conversations with Avant Garde Sages.” He is active politically and mentors young people he meets.
