History comes to life Sunday May 3rd, 2026…located in the Chatham County Historical Museum in downtown Pittsboro, NC. Jordan Lake School of the Arts’ students will embody figures from Chatham’s past and bring them to life along with honoring 2025’s Living Legends. Our hardcopy book, The Legends of Chatham County will be available for sale and all funds raised will benefit the Chatham County Historical Association.

The event will run in the old Chatham County Courthouse from 11am to 2:00 pm. The first Sunday each May is a community celebration day and Pittsboro will have vendors and fun activities throughout downtown.
